We are seeking an experienced sales or business development professional with a passion for driving business growth, to become our Vice President of Business Development. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, forming strategic partnerships, and coordinating these efforts across the entire team. This position will report directly to the CEO.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to support company growth and revenue goals.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and alliances.
- Lead negotiations and close high-value deals with enterprise partners and clients.
- Collaborate with Relationship Management, Origination, Marketing, and Operations teams to align business development initiatives with company objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and expansion opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, investors, and industry leaders.
- Build and oversee the business development team, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
- Spearhead an industry organization
- Represent the company in front of government-sponsored gold committees and working groups
- Drive innovation and strategic thinking to position the company as an industry leader.
- Monitor key performance metrics and provide regular reporting on business development activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in international business, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Previous experience operating in an early-stage business environment is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of identifying and closing strategic business deals.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and drive results.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
- Strategic thinker with experience in market expansion and revenue growth strategies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly competitive market.
- Experience working with CRM systems and business development analytics tools.
- Up to 50% travel is required.

Office Manager
Key responsibilities
- Recruiting & Onboarding:
- Manage recruitment and onboarding process for new employees.
- Maintain recruitment databases, applicant tracking system, and new hire onboarding programs.
- Ensure a smooth transition for new employees by providing necessary resources and support.
- General HR Support:
- Serve as the main point of contact for our PEO provider and subject matter expert on their systems.
- Assist with developing and maintaining HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Handle employee inquiries and provide support on HR-related matters.
- Maintain employee records.
- Assist with the performance management process and employee development initiatives.
- Vendor Management:
- Identify new vendors and assist in negotiating contracts.
- Manage relationships with vendors.
- Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
- Company Travel:
- Coordinate travel arrangements for employees and contractors, including flights, accommodation, and transportation.
- Handle travel-related issues and provide support to traveling employees and contractors.
- Manage online tools to streamline the company travel experience (i.e. Navan or similar)
- Meeting and Event Planning and Logistics:
- Plan and organize the annual company meeting and semi-annual department meetings, including venue selection.
- Assist in developing the agenda and coordinate with speakers and presenters.
- Assist in preparing agendas for the CEO Staff and MM All Hands (video calls).
- General Administrative Tasks
- Maintain company handbook.
- Document filing.
- Maintain company calendars..
- Assist the Chief of Staff and CEO with ad hoc projects
- Interface with landlord.
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience with the responsibilities listed above
- Organized and detail oriented
- Associate’s degree
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter
- Able to research and recommend solutions to problems
- Able to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
- Able to multitask effectively
- High EQ and can work with a diverse range of personalities
