Today is the official release of the Kindle Fire, a 7″ tablet with Wi Fi, offering web browsing, books, music, movies, games, apps, and quite a bit more. At just $199, it’s $300 less than the iPad. No doubt, fans of the iPad will insist on the superiority of their product, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But I suspect many consumers will wonder if it’s $300 better.
