Tom Tancredo, former congressman from Colorado, said he would smoke marijuana in public if Colorado ever chose to legalize it, and he is sticking to his word.
Tancredo was a supporter of the initiative to legalize marijuana in the state. “I am endorsing Amendment 64 not despite my conservative beliefs, but because of them,” he wrote. “Our nation is spending tens of billions of dollars annually in an attempt to prohibit adults from using a substance objectively less harmful than alcohol.”
UPDATE: That was quick. Tancredo has bailed.
