Evidently it does not matter how many cringeworthy moments Herman Cain induces, and how obviously limited his knowledge is. (Not that he’s running against a pack of geniuses, I concede.) There is a constituency out there that does not care. I had no idea how large was the group of people who
(1) like TARP, and are OK with a candidate who sided with the establishment against the people on the great economic issue of our time;
(2) are supposedly concerned about spending but don’t actually care if they hear any specific spending cuts;
(3) don’t mind when a candidate repeatedly defers questions to “experts” he’ll hire once elected, and even when that candidate — a former Kansas City Federal Reserve chairman, no less — has to call his economic adviser onto the stage to answer even simple questions;
(4) think Mitt Romney is a great leader;
(5) don’t think it matters that a guy running for president during a world-historic economic collapse couldn’t see that collapse coming one week before it occurred, and actually said the economy was in great shape on September 1, 2008; this in spite of the fact that it was quite possible to see the collapse coming and know its causes, since Ron Paul had described it to a T in 2001.
Apparently a lot of Americans fit the above profile. So to them, I say: I realize this video will not have any effect on you. You will make some excuse for it. I know that.
But I am showing it anyway.
