Thanks to the brilliant mind of Michael Boldin, founder of the Tenth Amendment Center, the next Nullify Now event takes place March 5 in the Harriet Tubman Theater at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati, and centers around the heroic story of accused fugitive slave Joshua Glover. The Left pretends this story does not exist, since it’s much easier to demonize nullification if we can pretend the South used it to defend slavery. To the contrary, nullification was used to fight against slavery, as we’ll discuss that night.
Here’s a guarantee: none of the left-wing sites — like the hyper-nationalist AlterNet and the misnamed ThinkProgress — that have been raising second-grade arguments against nullification will mention this event. (Here is my systematic reply to all the objections, by the way.) As I’ve said before, these alleged progressives are just neocons with sandals, and being the nationalists they are, are much more at home with neoconservatives, who in their view may be wrong but at least play the game. Defy the commissars of approved opinion and join us!
