Can someone please lend me a hand? Below is a graphical depiction of a short audio snippet with me in one channel and someone else in the other. Leaving aside the point that my level is too low, how do I tell Adobe Audition that I want to separate one channel from the other? I actually want to discard mine (I’m on the top) because I have a better recording of myself than what appears on this track.

So far, Adobe is forcing me to treat this whole track as one unit, which sort of defeats the purpose of recording one party on one channel and the other on the other. Thank you!
