At a recent Antifa rally, someone grabbed the bullhorn and delivered a speech consisting entirely of Hitler quotations. (The first one, although attributed to Hitler in John Toland’s biography of the German dictator, is more commonly attributed to fellow Nazi Gregor Strasser.)
The crowd cheered.
After all, don’t they agree that the “public interest” should prevail over the merely “private interest,” that capitalism encourages selfishness, that the state should supervise property owners and ultimately be in charge?
