Now I’ll bet there are some of you who have agreed with virtually every episode.
(I’ll get to you guys eventually!)
But I have plenty of good people who listen because they agree 60% of the time, and feel challenged in a healthy way the other 40%, when they disagree.
For one of my episodes this week I talked to Sheldon Richman, author of a provocative new book, America’s Counter-Revolution: The Constitution Revisited.
There is one allowable narrative when it comes to the Constitution: extraordinarily wise men gathered together in 1787 to produce the most brilliant document in the history of the world. That document hasn’t managed to prevent the rise of the hideous regime under which we now live, but it’s still the greatest document ever.
Hmm.
Sheldon finds this story dubious. Whether you do or you don’t, if you enjoy being challenged, check out our discussion:
(1) LAST CALL if you want to attend the Mises Institute’s event in Seattle tomorrow. If you become (or already are) a Supporting Listener of my show, you don’t have to pay the $50 entry fee. Just reply to this email by THIS EVENING and I can still get you in.
(2) My apologies: I jumped the gun on the Bluehost sale. It started yesterday, but I blabbed about it three days ago. The 36-month hosting plan is just $2.95 a month during this sale.
If you think there’s any chance you’ll want to start a site in the near future, lock in 36 months at that crazy rate, and get my bonuses (including free publicity for your site) while you’re at it: http://www.tomwoods.com/publicity
(3) Want to vacation with Bob Murphy and me? Join us for the Contra Cruise aboard Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas. How — HOW, I ask you — can that not be a blast? Check it out at ContraCruise.com.
Hope to see you tomorrow.
