The honorable mentions are often inexplicable — does Ben Shapiro, the most annoying person in the world, actually have a following? I count just under 8000 likes on Facebook for him.
Naturally, Establishment figures are always preferred. Thus Wayne LaPierre of the National Rifle Association is gushed over; Larry Pratt (remember him from Piers Morgan?) of Gun Owners of America, which unlike the NRA didn’t twiddle its thumbs following Sandy Hook, is nowhere to be found. Surprise.
